Meeting in Siauliai
From February 12th to 16th German, Italian, Polish and Lithuanian students taking part in Erasmus+ be well@school project met for the final time in Siauliai in Lithuania. They worked on the be healthy @school part of the project.
Before the meeting, students in their international groups worked via Internet on the themes of:
Each group managed to make a presentation which was shown in Siauliai and discuss it in depth with other members of the project.
The meeting in Lithuania was mainly organized in the form of workshops, all based on the theme of healthy living. Hence, students had a chance do sports, learn to dance, look for healthy food and then use it to prepare nutritious and delicious meals.
Being in Lithuania everyone had a chance to learn a bit about the hosting country - as the Erasmus meeting coincided with two important dates in the calendar, namely Independence Day on Friday 16th and the end of Carnival and beginning of Lent known as Užgavinės, both the students and the teachers had a quick lesson of Lithuanian history and customs.
As the meeting marked the end of the bewell@school project, it was hard to say goodbye. However, all the participants feel that it has been a truly successful experience, which gave everyone a lot of useful knowledge about ways of living a happy and healthy life, to make new friends, to practice their communication skills in foreign languages, use technology for a good cause and look with optimism into the future.
